Click Labs has completed the acquisition of Evermile, an artificial intelligence platform designed to automate retail operations for small and medium enterprises. The transaction represents another consolidation move within the retail technology sector, though financial details remain undisclosed.
The London-based startup brings AI-powered automation capabilities that will complement Click Labs’ current portfolio of logistics and commerce tools. Evermile’s technology addresses workflow challenges faced by independent retailers who lack the resources of major chains but must meet increasingly complex operational demands.
Automation Platform Handles Daily Operations
Evermile’s software functions as what the company describes as a virtual operations manager, automating up to 70 percent of routine tasks for small retail teams. The platform manages delivery routing, customer support resolution, service level agreement monitoring, and targeted marketing campaigns through proprietary AI agents.
Since its 2023 launch, Evermile has attracted notable UK retailers including Ottolenghi, CakeBox, and Paul’s Bakery. The platform’s orchestration engines handle both customer-facing and internal processes, from order preparation through final delivery tracking.
“We built Evermile to close the technology gap for independent retailers” ~ Omer Goldschmidt, co-founder and CEO of Evermile.
Strategic Fit Within Click Labs Portfolio
The acquisition expands Click Labs’ existing suite of logistics tools, which includes Tookan, JungleWorks, Yelo, and Hippo. Evermile’s AI capabilities will integrate with these platforms to create more comprehensive automation solutions for retail clients across North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific regions.
Samar Singla, CEO of Click Labs, emphasized the strategic value of combining the companies’ technologies and expertise. The integration aims to help retailers manage operations more efficiently while delivering improved customer experiences in competitive markets.
Industry Consolidation Trend Continues
The transaction aligns with recent consolidation activity in retail and logistics technology. Similar moves include DoorDash’s acquisition of SevenRooms, Uber’s investment in Trendyol, and GlobalE’s purchase of ReturnGO, all targeting the fragmentation of retail workflows.
Small and mid-sized retailers face mounting pressure to adopt sophisticated technology solutions while working with limited budgets and staff. Traditional enterprise software often proves too complex or costly, creating opportunities for specialized platforms like Evermile to serve this underserved market segment.
Integration and Future Plans
Evermile will maintain its brand identity in the near term while Click Labs works to integrate the AI platform’s capabilities across its product lineup. The combined offering targets retailers seeking to automate routine tasks without requiring large technical teams or extensive implementation resources.
“Together, we’ll help retailers simplify operations, deliver seamless experiences, and grow smarter in a demanding market” ~ Samar Singla, CEO of Click Labs.
The acquisition reflects the growing importance of AI automation in retail operations, particularly for smaller businesses competing against well-resourced chains. By combining Evermile’s specialized retail focus with Click Labs’ broader logistics platform, the merged entity aims to address workflow automation needs across multiple market segments and geographic regions.
