Bhindi AI has closed a $4 million pre-seed funding round led by Cyber Fund, targeting a widespread productivity challenge affecting millions of knowledge workers worldwide. The startup addresses the mounting problem of digital fragmentation, where professionals lose hours daily switching between multiple applications and managing repetitive tasks.
Research from Harvard Business Review reveals that knowledge workers typically use 9-13 applications daily, switching between windows more than 1,200 times. This constant context switching creates decision fatigue and diminishes creative output, with 378 million people globally relying on AI tools that often fail to deliver meaningful productivity gains.
Building Beyond Basic AI Chat
Founder Sowmay Jain, a veteran of Web3 and AI development who previously created DeFi platform Instadapp and later Fluid, identified a fundamental flaw in current AI implementations. “Most AI tools are stuck at basic chats and prompts. I saw people wasting time jumping between Gmail, Slack, and Notion, trapped in endless small tasks” Jain explained in a recent interview.
The Bangalore-based company launched just months ago but has already attracted over 5,000 active users, with 80% located in India and the United States. The platform has processed more than 333,000 messages across 22,000 conversations and executed 52,000 agent operations.

Bhindi AI’s technical approach centers on over 300 proprietary background agents that operate independently without user intervention.
