Seenons acquires Dutch waste consultancy in Europe push

Amsterdam-based Seenons has acquired Recycling Consultants Nederland, marking another step in the waste management platform’s European expansion strategy. The deal brings together digital technology and traditional advisory services in the growing circular economy sector.

The acquisition aligns with Seenons’ mission to eliminate waste through its technology platform, which connects organizations with logistics partners and processors. Backed by majority shareholder Fortino Capital, the company has been actively pursuing growth opportunities across Europe.

Combining Digital Platform with Advisory Expertise

Recycling Consultants Nederland operates as an independent waste advisory firm, serving medium to large enterprises across the Netherlands for nearly two decades. Founded in 2006 by Koes de Quillettes and later joined by his children Kirsten and Robbert, the family business has built expertise in waste and material management without ties to processors or collectors.

The full RCN team will transition to Seenons, ensuring service continuity for existing clients. This integration combines RCN’s market knowledge with Seenons’ digital platform capabilities, particularly benefiting clients in food, retail, and logistics sectors.

“After 19 years of independently serving the market with our straightforward approach, expertise, and independent advice, we are now joining forces with Seenons to meet the market’s needs in the digital domain as well” ~ RCN’s Director, Kirsten de Quillettes.

    Strategic Expansion Through Acquisitions

The RCN acquisition represents part of a broader European growth strategy for Seenons. The companies previously collaborated on Dutch-Belgian initiatives, serving clients across both markets. This existing relationship facilitated the integration process.

Seenons has demonstrated consistent acquisition activity in recent years. The company acquired Waste Group Denmark in 2024 and expanded into Switzerland in 2025 through the acquisition of CP Recycling Management. These moves support the platform’s goal of serving clients across multiple European markets.

Founded in 2019 by Joost Kamermans and Martin Kayser, Seenons currently operates across several European countries, managing over 150 waste streams and collaborating with more than 200 chain partners.

    Market Demands Drive Integration

The acquisition responds to evolving demands in business waste management, where clients increasingly seek digital solutions alongside traditional advisory services. Companies require both operational insights and technological tools to manage waste streams effectively.

“We have always admired RCN’s results-driven approach. Their dedication to clients and deep knowledge of business waste aligns perfectly with our way of working” ~ Seenons CEO Joost Kamermans.

The combined entity aims to serve clients in the Netherlands and Flanders region, leveraging both advisory expertise and digital platform capabilities. This integration represents the broader trend of technology companies acquiring traditional service providers to offer comprehensive solutions.

Through its software platform, Seenons focuses on preventing, reducing, and reusing waste streams rather than disposal. The RCN acquisition strengthens this approach by adding advisory capabilities to complement the existing technology infrastructure.
